Join 3-time Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae in a comprehensive session that taps into your race pace. After a warm-up, you will be guided in some solid efforts—dictated by your heart rate—in order to find your race pace. The warm-up will include some fast, short turnovers to get your body moving and to find a reference point for your top speed. Once you’re warmed up, Coach Rinny will guide you in a workout that includes 5 x 3-minute intervals to test the upper end of your training pace.
Rinny uses this workout numerous times during her training blocks in order to evaluate her race pace improvement. The workout’s intervals are both fast and long, allowing you to tap into an effective and controlled racing speed dictated by your heart rate. This is one of the most effective 30-minute runs ever and one of Rinny’s favorites. Enjoy.
